Nos llega una curiosa noticia relacionada con Super Nintendo World, el parque de atracciones oficial de Nintendo. Al parecer, la compañía ha sido acusada recontentamente de haber usado un modelo no oficial en una de las decoraciones del recinto.
En concreto, se trataría de un diseño de cactus que se muestra en un mod creado por fans de New Super Mario Bros. Wii conocido como Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. Los responsables del parque habrían buscado diseños de cactus de New Super Mario Bros. Wii en Internet y habrían incluido este.

Como os podéis imaginar, la noticia ha causado un gran revuelo en redes sociales, aunque por el momento no está claro qué ha sucedido. Algunos fans señalan a Nintendo por haber usado el diseño sin permiso y otros creen que ha sido o un error inintencionado o simplemente una casualidad al usar un diseño de cactus genérico.
I didn’t work on Newer Wii but am currently on the Newer Team making the remastered version. One of the artists noticed, we told some of the original developers and they seemed to agree that it was definitely Newer’s cacti. Lol.
It’s the exact same shape; see the bend on the left arm. The flower is in the exact same position. And there’s a bevel on the top that’s the same.
Plus, official Mario cacti don’t look anything like the Newer ones. It’s not like the Newer ones were based on a Nintendo graphic.
